BVMAC is a stock market common to the six (6) countries of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) represented by Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, the Central African Republic and Chad. It was created on June 27, 2003 in Libreville and its mission is to finance the economies of the CEMAC countries.

At the request of the countries of the Sub-Region, BEAC's Board of Directors commissioned BEAC to create BVMAC.

Official launching of the listing activities of the BVMAC on August 13th, 2008, in the presence of the Heads and members of governments of the countries of the CEMAC Zone, the personalities of the diplomatic missions and the international institutions present in Central Africa as well as businessmen of the subregion.

Holding the CAP6 Regional Forum on the integration and economic development of the CEMAC sub-region. This forum was held and hosted by BVMAC in partnership with the Gabonese and Congolese Ministries in charge of Regional Integration. Personalities from business, high finance and the political world and actively participated in this Forum.
Appointment of Mr. Pascal HOUANGNI AMBOUROUE as Managing Director (January 2012 – May 2019).
Decision of the Conference of Heads of State at its extraordinary session of October 31, 2017 in N'Djamena, to set the headquarters of the Regional Financial Market Regulator in Libreville and that of the Regional Stock Exchange in Douala.
Designation of the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) as Central Depository.
Signature by the President of the CEMAC in exercise His Excellence Mr. Idriss DEBY ITNO of the Additional Act unifying the financial market of CEMAC and accompanying measures.
Decision of the Governor of BEAC appointing Mr ABOUBAKAR SALAO as responsible for monitoring the merger project of the two financial markets.
